Obtaining your ISNI

In order to register your ISNI and create a unique record to distinguish you, the British Library needs the following information.

For individuals:

•            Name including any variants

•            Biographical information such as dates of birth etc.

•            Lists of works, bibliographies, discographies etc.

•            Other identifiers such as ORCID, IPI etc.

•            Relevant weblinks

 

For organisations/group entities:

•        Name including any variants

•        Organisation history e.g. dates of changes of name, mergers etc.

•        Lists of works, bibliographies, discographies etc.

•        Relevant weblinks

If you could supply the information above, we will attend to your ISNI.
