Anne Logan Huxtable, Author of 17 Days

My first published book is '17 Days' - the heartbreaking story of my only son Dan's cancer diagnosis when he was studying at Edge Hill University.  He was treated in three different hospitals in the space of 12 days, including The Christie in Manchester.  Dan urged me to tell his story; I hope 17 Days raises awareness of rare cancers and offers comfort to other families in similar circumstances.

Through the years I've been employed as a shorthand typist, barmaid, greengrocer's assistant and customer services advisor, seeing the best and the worst of the public!  I now volunteer in a local British Red Cross shop.
I enjoy reading, films and music, among my favourites are 'To Kill A Mockingbird', 'The History Boys' and Paul Weller.

My favourite holiday destination is the island of Rhodes, beautiful weather, amazing food and wine and Greek hospitality at its best.

Originally from the north west of England, I now live in Cardiff with my husband and two ginger cats.
